Guide to Receiving Feedback in the Creative Showcase
Very often I see people complaining saying "I AIN'T GETTIN NO LUV KTT? COME ON Y'ALL SLEEPIN!". Here's a guide to receiving feedback.
Supply your thread with the proper information for what you are receiving feedback for.
If you make a thread for your new mixtape and just drop the datpiff link to it, chances are that nobody will check it out. Make sure your thread has the artist's name, title, artwork, tracklist, summary/background info on the beat/song/album, etc.
Try to avoid obnoxious thread titles.
This is probably the #1 best way to get negative feedback. Titles like "BEST RAPPER ON KTT, CHECK ME OUT" and "LIL B SWAGGED OUT TO MY BEAT #RARE" could get your thread ignored or filled with a bunch of people who won't take your work seriously.
Give Feedback to Receive Feedback.
Give feedback on other's work and ask for feedback on your work. Don't be selfish, you might discover other good music besides your own.
ex. "Yo I love the melody of the beat! Your delivery could use a little work though. Nice job, and keep working! By the way, can you
check out my thread and give me feedback on my new song? *insert thread link here*"
Be polite, don't be a dick.
Don't get upset if you don't receive the criticism or praise you were hoping for on a track/project. You're less likely to receive feedback in the future if you can't take constructive criticism.
Be a part of the CS community.
Post new work often, post in the chat threads, be as helpful as you can.
Then you can have your threads full of pages like these.
