Agreed that it's underrated, but I think a lot of film critics give it **** for that scene at the end where the 4D figure appears and Tars/Mcconaughey start basically telling the audience what is going on. It (understandably) gets compared to 2001 a lot, which I don't really think is fair, but basically Kubrick was fully against explaining what was going on and that's part of what made 2001 so amazing. Personally, from that point to the end plot wise was really eh for me. I would've rather left the theater coming up with my own theories. I guess Nolan had just ended Inception that way and didn't want to do it again? I do believe that it is his top film visually, but it's probably out of the top 5 plot-wise for me......Anne Hathaway's character definitely doesn't help that either lmao.

Yeah, that scene should have been shorter, less info and kept the emotional screams from Matt.

I think if I was to put a top 3 for Nolan it would be:

Inception
The Dark Knight
Interstellar

HM: Memento. Love that movie.

I bought Dunkirk same day as Interstellar. Can't wait to rewatch that.

Personally, I like it when they explain what happened (or at least give you a possibility) if it's done well like they did at the end of this and at the end of The Leftovers.  Kind of makes you think about it even more than if they just left you hanging.
