TDKR could've been better and Arkham Knight proved that.

Not even trying to defend it just trying to get some answers because I seriously don't see anything wrong with the film :dno: Like I said, I can get why Man Of Steel gets hate because I recognise some of its flaws but I don't feel that way about TDKR

Are you trying to convince yourself or us?
Not trying to convince anyone. I've comfortably enjoyed it for the three years since it was released and have enjoyed watching it multiple times. Just trying to get some answers. And so far people are appaently incapable of discussing it beyond either saying it's the best thing ever or the worst thing ever.

The biggest thing I didn't like about it is how heavy handed the themes of class warfare are

Constantly, the film is trying to remind you in someway that what is going on is indicative of that

TDK wasn't exactly subtle either but the themes of terrorism were actually just shown to you for the most part rather than being preached at you throughout the whole film.

That's not to say I disliked TDKR. The direction and visuals were amazing, Bane was a v memorable villain, fight scenes were great, and the conclusion was perfect.

Also, the Talia twist really weakens Bane as a character, there's a lot of leap of faiths in Banes plan, etc. but those are smaller problems I had
Don't agree on the class war thing because I thought it made sense given that the whole purpose was to raise hell in Gotham before destroying it.

I do think that the Talia reveal somewhat weakened Bane as a charcter, but then again I can rewatch it and still find Bane awesome for the first two and a half hours of the film. I'd have prefered it if they were partners rather than Bane being subordibate to Talia.

I get Banes point but every single time, every character constantly just feels like an example of a person in a different class because everybody is constantly saying things that are meant to relate to the Wall Street protest/99% - 1%

The story didn't need to rely on dialogue that is constantly trying to be substantial and being like "this movie is talking about this real event so you can relate to it"

TDKR's bloated and ridiculous. I really **** with the first two movies, but that one put me off the franchise for a good while.

I don't think people would've had problem if Bane was Raz al Ghuls subordinate but since he's Talias people seem to really dislike it. That being said as a film TDKR stumbles hard after the first two Nolan interpretations.

Bane was the only thing I liked about that movie minus the ****ty voice and the trash death they gave him

Talia ****ed Batman but didn't kill him :what:

her death scene was horrible

Bane's death scene and fight was anti climatic

they drifted far from the class war theme

Bane giving batman a month and waiting while showing him video

so many plot holes/logic errors

no standout performances but good

Ending is very much a cop out

Just a mess

See that's the issues with the movie but Talia running the league of shadows makes sense and Bane being a general of sorts also makes sense. How it was constructed wasn't that great though. TDKR requires you to shut off your brain for a lot of it lol
