Kanye West To Present CFDA Award To Phoebe Philo

“I’m just a Chi- town nigga with a Nas flow / and my chick in that new Phoebe Philo…”

After sharing his fondness of Phoebe Philo in the first verse of Dark Fantasy, and once again when he sported a Céline women’s silk top during his 2011 Coachella performance, Kanye will, next week, be presenting Phoebe Philo’s creative director with the International Award for best fashion designer.

His love for Phoebe Philo may have landed him this tremendous honor from the CFDA. However, many “fashion experts” disagree with CFDA’s decision to let someone with such a “wild history” at award shows, to do the presenting. But, whether they like it or not, Kanye will be presenting the award at the Lincoln Center in NYC next week.

Kanye West Shows Off Nike Air Yeezy 2

They were first seen in “The Black Mamba,” they were then seen at Coachella (above), and now, we finally get an up close look at the new Nike Air Yeezy 2.

Kanye was seen sporting the new version of his innovative shoe in London this week after a brilliant performance at Coachella.

Sporting a black sweater, black shirt, black shades, black pants and the new all black Air Yeezy’s, Kanye looked fly as ever as he walked the streets of London.

No release date or price has been set for the new Yeezy’s, but if the first Yeezy’s were any indication, the shoe will come at a hefty (albeit worth it) price.

Anyone who knows of Kanye West should know of his obsession and dedication to the fashion industry. With the first clear sight of the Nike Air Yeezy 2, we can clearly see why.
