I think everybody will be surprised. They're taking this one really seriously. Try and forget that Spider-Man 3 happened, hahah. This is a reboot, and should be a great one at that. The direction they're going in definitely seems like the right one to take.

Haha, all movies are filmed way before they're released, especially a 200 million budgeted 3D superhero movie. They just finished filming. And they're filming The Dark Knight Rises now, and that comes out two weeks after this.

The problem with Spider-Man 3 is they basically ruined the characters, it wasn't that bad to re-boot the franchise and I liked the movie but I'm guessing the Studio is wanting something more The Dark Knight level (something like Spider-Man 2). Emma Stone

The script was described as a bit darker, which is interesting. Very character focused, which is highly important in movies about people in masks and costumes. And they're using less CG... the footage of an actual guy swinging through the street looks wildly promising

That was the most unrealistic part of the comic book. I find it hard to believe that a kid in high school built web slingers with fake webs strong enough to hold someone's bodyweight. |
