yeah I agree, I can't see this being as successful as TDK just because the Joker is one of the most iconic, if not THE most iconic, villians of all time, mixed with the death of the actor that played him and the cool interpretation of him. Also the trailer for the Dark Knight was the best trailer ever made (I'll go on record as saying that) while the DKR looks pretty bland from the marketing we've seen SO FAR.

IDK I don't see the hype being nearly as heavy for this one, and this is coming from someone who literally watched the Dark Knight trailer maybe over 500 times when it came out

also **** y'all niggas saying this **** needs to be 4 hours. A story can be told in less than that, and neither the studio nor the theaters wants a big ass 4 hour movie wastin mad time and showings to show Bruce Wayne taking multiple ****s that do not contribute to the story at all. it's called editing, niggas.

Unlike the TDK this movie has already sold out in multiple locations and city's. To hype the movie now is too far out yea the trailer built a lot of hype but when it gets towards June and such the mainstream hype will blow up. Their more than enough people all over the world looking for this movie to come out (Forums, ect) so yea I'm pretty sure Nolan and the crew are just playing their cards right for now instead of clashing with all the summer hits coming out soon like (Avengers, MIB 3, Battleships, The Dictator and Prometheus)

just hope it doesn't feel too much like  #OccupyGotham rich vs. inmates....

There was a teaser that came out last July, the prologue and trailer came out in Decemberand there were all kinds of leaked pics of filming almost every day all summer/fall last year. The movie comes out in July that means that during the NBA playoffs especially in May and June you will see plenty of TV spots and at least one more trailer. A movie like this with the anticipation, hype, it's past track record with the previous two movies and it's director being excellent it doesn't need any more hype. Once that final push comes out in the next two months there will be no need for further marketing. Just shutup and chill about the marketing crap it's not needed for this movie. These other crap movies like American Reunion and MIB3 and all that unnecessary **** needs it not TDKR.
