It's not, at least an official statements hasn't been released so far. Though, the sixth season of '30 Rock' will likely be Alec Baldwin's last, because he wants to concentrate on new career projects. We'll see how it goes from there.

So basically we lost the best part of The Office and now we're about to lose the best part of 30 Rock?   

I like Alec, but for me the best part of '30 Rock' has always been Tina Fey.

Yeah, I'm more of a Baldwin fan but Tina Fey can be considered just as important and most of the time equally hilarious in her own way. I guess the show COULD carry on better than The Office without Carrel. But without the Fey-Baldwin relationship they're definitely losing a huge piece of what made the show great.

if baldwin leaves we can assume Tina will pack up shop. The show needs him and Tina knows she can make alot of money writing and directing big movies so she'll probably just switch to that full time.

Lorne Michaels said that the show would continue with a seventh season with or without Baldwin, though that Alec would still appear occasionally in future episodes. He just wouldn't be a series regular any more.

After Baldwin leaves, I don't see this show going on for much longer than one season tbh. I think Tina would like to focus on other stuff too, so the seventh season would probably be her last one. Without Fey and Baldwin, there's not much to look for. Although I think that the supporting cast is great, I don't see Morgan, McBrayer and Krakowski carrying the show by themselves.

Right. They are a great supporting cast but not stars in their own right. Especially now watching what is happening to The Office after Carrell left. They show is decaying in front of our own eyes.. When you rip the founding relationship dynamic out from under the show you and try to redefine everybody's role it doesn't work.

Thats why I not only think we are watching the last season of The Office, but also now NBC recognizes that when the star leaves, the show has got to go too. Regardless of what Lorne says Tina will have the final say in whether or not the show will go on. How long is the contract for? I always thought it was 5 years.

Sorry that was scatterbrained. But it makes sense right lol? (I'm a huge 30 rock, Office, and Parks & Rec fan) lol

Yes, it all makes sense. 

Baldwin said that the cast's contracts with NBC expire after the sixth season. However, NBC's first priority is to make money, so I doubt they'll give up so easily on this show. Look what happened to 'The Office'. I think they'll try to go on for one more season, with Tina being full-time and Alec guest starring from time to time. If they're smart, they will end the show after the seventh season. I just don't see this show going further without its two leads, being carried by the supporting team.

What if we then told you that said sequel was entitled Martin Luther King Day, and its giant cast of stars includes Jenna Maroney? Now you've got it: Stone, Samberg, and Cannon will all be guesting on the January 26 episode of 30 Rock as co-stars of Jenna (Jane Krakowski), who's somehow wormed her way into a Garry Marshall–like comedy. What, they couldn't get Tina Fey's old friend (and New Year's Eve co-star) Seth Meyers, too?
