I'm not sure how long that window will be, though, just because of the sheer athleticism and physical dominance of receivers coming in today

With Matt Stafford likely throwing for 5,000 yards next year, Johnson can easily rack up 1700 or 1800 receiving yards and possibly 20 touchdowns, if last year is an indication of his future.

Dat madden curse, doe. :joe:

are you being sarcastic ?
I'm not sure how many people would be a consistent threat to them. Their offense is one of the strongest and most powerful in the League, and they're a young team with a young Matt Stafford playing like a 7-year veteran or something the way he's throwing the football and Calvin Johnson having great years that he'll undoubtedly replicate time and time again in the future. I mean, we're talking about a dude who has been in the League what, four years? And has only played one full season but threw for 5,000 yards and 40+ touchdowns and a dude who had like 18 touchdowns or something and 1600 yards receiving. Their chemistry is perfect; the way that Stafford places the ball where only Johnson can get it, and how Johnson makes the play no matter how many times he's targeted in a game.

And then there's the defense. Cornerbacks and safeties are useless since everyone is throwing for 5,000 yards anyway, but what Detroit has that a lot of teams don't have is a defensive line that can mess up a backfield pretty easily. And again, they're young. They'll dominate for years and years. The only team I can see getting in their way, again is the Giants. I expect both of them to be in the NFC Championship this year, but after that, Detroit could easily start dominating and never look back.

Yea as long a he's at his athletic peak tho and maybe a little while after that he should stay the best in the league since his athleticism is pretty much unmatched by other WRs.

Plus he's got a great QB throwing him the ball

lions def have the key pieces to compete for the SB

franchise QB
franchise playmaker to play with QB
franchise defensive player

draft well for good depth/keep improving that O-line and secondary

lions should be set for a good 5-7 year run

GB vs Det should be a great game for those years

Their defense is still horrible, look at that terrible secondary.

Doubt it. It's hard to be a scrub and be a top QB in the League like Stafford was last year.

Every team's secondary is horrible when three QB's throw for 5,000 yards in the same season and another QB throws for 4933, and like four QB's throw for 40+ touchdowns.

North Carolina gave up the most halftime leads this season :hah:

No mental fortitude or maturity in your squad :hah:

Cam Newton can't even bring up his teammates and puts towels on his big-ass head when they're losing :hah:

Who didn't know our defense sucked? Like that's news to me. :hah:

Maturity? So being ranked 30th in penalties per game is maturity? :hah:

Lions have had the most arrests this offseason. So much maturity. :oblivious:
