I'm in Mexico City right now and it's pretty good over here, the food is great and the people are pretty friendly.
The elections for president were this last Sunday so stray from talking about politics in public places. You're not gonna be that far north so you should be safe.

OMG, Mexico is a normal place. Its not like you go there and get killed instantly. Guanajuato is a great place man, enjoy.
