Mercy being the only real summer banger helped out a lot. A lot of my friends are only now coming around to Ye because of WTT and Mercy, which is somewhat sad because those are some of his weaker work, but it all good since more people acknowledging GOOD

In the young skinny jeann hip hop crowd... People with actual knowledge of good music already knew about GOOD music and they were already respected in the industry by producing successful artist like John Legend, Common, and Kid Cudi!

all my friends (most of which who arent big on hip hop) love Mercy as a whole not just Kanye

I don't know why y'all are so surprised. Kanye is one of if not the biggest current artists in hip hop and music period. Big Sean has mainstream success and commerical appeal. Cudi has a wide fanbase, mainstream success and commercial appeal. Their lead single features one of the hotter guys in the game right now. It was only a matter of time.
