"What I want to do post-Grammys is I want to work on cities, I want to work on amusement parks, I want to change entertainment experiences or life. Something like if McQueen or Tarsem [Singh] was to meet the entertainment value of a Cirque du Soleil or a Walt Disney. With the Donda company, this is our first installation." - Kanye West, on what kind of big ideas he wants to work on next. [via GQ]

It makes sense tbh, MBDTF was his opus I'm sure he knows he'll never reach such a musical height again. I think it was the climax to his musical career tbh, and now he's just doing victory laps while he moves on to bigger things.

yea but it's clearly not his #1 focus atm. I'm not saying he can't ever go back to music if he wants to but there's no way he's as invested in the GOOD album for example as he is with fashion and filmmaking and DONDA ya know/

If you create MBDTF, you have clearance to do anything you wish.

Anybody that makes music knows that you can't just switch off from it.
Also MBDTF would be a pretty average climax.

That kinda sounds like it's a big possibility. On one side it's ****ing cool Kanye is gonna change the world (well, at least he'll try to) so he'll do cool stuff and ****, but on the other side, his music is what made him so great...

A Kanye theme park would be dope though.

I would pay $500 to go to G.O.O.D. Land or whatever.

4D Donda Theater Experience, CyHi's 700 ft. "CyHi Coaster", Pusha T-cup ride for the kids, it would be amazing.

lol what? I can't think of a better possible climax, he got near perfect scores across the board and he put his entire life into that album. I know there's always gonna be people going "naw it was average, college dropout for life" but at the end of the day it's one of the best albums in a long time

I've thought about this & what we'll all end up doing us playing this album in 10-20 years and still be impressed.  We'll use the MBDTF record as a means of reminiscing.

More of an 808s fan.
808s always felt more personal than MBDTF, despite MBDTF having far better production.

okay fair enough, I love 808s too everyone has a different favorite Ye album, I'm just saying looking at it from his perspective he basically achieved everything he ever dreamed of when it comes to music with MBDTF (except winning album of the year), like he doesn't give interviews anymore so people might not think about it but if he did still speak his mind to the public people would probably be surprised at how important that album's success was for him, it basically saved his life/career and allowed him to move on to other things.
