There's a difference between trojans, worms, and viruses. Technically macs can get any one of them but yes the small market share makes a difference but so does the UNIX kernel which is more difficult to infect. So apple's marketing isn't wrong in anyway and they really haven't used that type of marketing recently. But it does set up a bit for customers to not be aware of the dangers. There is also a built in anti-malware list in mac OSX. Things will start to get even better with sanboxed apps from the app store.

What are you talking about? We all know IE is poor, it's improving but it's still poor. My father who's mid 40's uses it without any issues however. I've never had to intervene to solve an issue when he's using it. You have to make no changes to go on FB, Youtube or any other sites.
