That's cold lol

But here is why:

The division is wide open. Like always the NL West is unpredictable and anyone can win it. The Padres always have a great bullpen. Whether its Meridith-Linebrick-Hoffman, Gregerson-Adams-Bell or now Gregerson-Cashner-Street. So close games that go down to the wire are usually an advantage for the padres. The only thing is they need to scratch up a few runs. They had the 3rd best ERA last year yet they still finished last in the division. Why? Cause they were shutout the most in baseball and the times they didn't get shut out, they barely put up 1 or 2 runs. This year, they added Carlos Quentin and Yonder Alonso to add some much needed power to the line up. Maybin is coming off a good year, the few bright spots of last year. If Bartlett and Hudson decide to play of how they're capable of playing they could have decent seasons. Chase Headley is feeling the heat of having top prospects in the organization coming up in his position, he's going to be trade bait soon so he'll be looking for a breakout year (he's been solid the last couple of years). The only thing that worries me is that starting pitching, still don't trust Tim Stauffer as an ace type but we'll see I guess. I may be having spring training delusions and am being overly optimistic but this team isn't as bad as you think.
