I wasn't

Loud was an ERA! as was GGGB!

Rated R & TTT - as much as I love them - were rushed

and the fact that Loud had the iconic single Only Girl - I would say if you asked people to name a Rihanna song, they would say Umbrella, Only Girl or Rude Boy!
I'd say WFL is pretty iconic too

^I wouldn't - its too dance-synth to be iconic for her. I hope her lead for her 7th will be iconic - or a greatest hits, I would like it, and would probably get it even though I have all her albums, and GGGB, RR and Loud twice!

Yea but WFL is her most successful single of her career

yes but their most successful doesn't mean their most iconic, e.g. Beyonce's If I Were a Boy is her most successful, but i would say Single Ladies is her most iconic!

And an iconic single defines her, We Found Love doesn't define Rihanna very much, that belongs to Umbrella, Only Girl and even Shut Up & Drive!

also the fact that TTT is a mess of an era - even though Loud's singles started to FLOP later on, the album is still doing well - well to be fair, she had 4 UK top 10s (2 #1s) and 4 US top 10s (3 #1) so not that bad

and GGGB is so defining, with Umbrella - which even though its not her biggest seller, I would say it is what gives her the most recognition - and even Shut Up & Drive

I would like TTT to go back to a GGGB style though - I love all her styles, but I think it would appease those who say they don't like her new stuff, and it could be #1 in the US - if it is released in 2013 with an iconic track

or! she could release a greatest hits in Nov 2012 - with two or three new tracks - with an iconic lead, and that might go #1 - e.g. a good example could be P!nk, her greatest hits (US #5) is her 2nd highest charter in the US, behind Funhouse which peaked at #2

The 'We Found Love' singer says she has a "rough idea" of what she wants her next studio outing to sound like.

Rihanna has revealed she is "definitely" getting ready to start working on her next album and says she has already come up with a rough idea for the record's direction.

The 'You Da One' singer says she can't wait to start working properly on her seventh studio album, following her huge success with 2011 album 'Talk That Talk.

"I'm definitely thinking about the next record. I'm a multi-tasker so," Rihanna told Capital FM's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes last night (29th March). "Right now we're working on collecting and creating the sound first before we even start working on the lyrical direction or melodies.

"I kind of have an idea though, and it's very rough right now," Rihanna teased. "So I'm eager to start that."

The 'We Found Love' star also promised that before she starts working full out on her new album she has something fashion-related in the works first.

She added: "Before that we'll be getting into more fashion stuff and, I can't really talk about it, but my fans will be very happy, especially my British fans."

Rihanna's 'Take Care' collaborator Drake recently said he is still hoping for the opportunity to work on a full album with the singer at some point in the future.
