lolwuht?

and to answer your other questions they dont really make it known in the movie too well, but in the book it sort of hints that peeta would tell them where katniss was, because they were threatening to kill him. And yeah, he was never trying to "purposely" lead them to her.

His feelings are definitely realer than Katniss' that's for sure.

They literally never talk about how putting your name into the drawing more times gets you food in the movie, but mentioning Gale's # of times sort of supposed to make the odds of primrose getting picked seem that much more drastic I guess. I also think it will matter in the later books/movies (but I haven't read them yet)

And yes, the peeps from district 1, and 2 (and 4 in the book) are trained through life for the games and then volunteer themselves. I don't think there was any special academy though :dno:

As for the food, I assumed it was being given to the peacekeepers, who put you on a tab. Then again, why would you? Peeta works at a bakery so it's not like they're starving.

And the arena scenes are probably handled better in the book. Their instructor tells them that disease and such are more dangerous than the tributes but those scenes went too quickly and I never really got that vibe.

Damn, I re-watched the movie and it still makes no sense to me why .....

....he'd join the alliance looking for Katniss. And why didn't they kill him once they found her?

Was he trying to stall them out?

Was he being legit about his feelings towards her? It seemed like it.

Why was it necessary to even mention Gale and his 42 name entries? Seemed like a superfluous detail.

I didn't understand whether the guys from District 1 went to a "special academy" to train for The Hunger Games or if it was just to mention that they're part of the nation's elite.

I liked the movie but some of the details were glossed over too lightly.

I didn't get when they did find katness why didn't peeta just kill them why they slept?

I thought the same thing. The movie's good but defies common sense a lot of the time.

Although, he might've been scared to as there'd be a group against him. Then again, Katniss could've helped.

book defies it too. I wouldn't believe for a second that each person from that alliance would keep that bond. Wouldn't you know the consequences if you killed every one off except for those of you in the alliance? I think it tried to use the excuse that they were kids, but still.

In the book, Peeta has a tracker jacker sting on his earlobe :oblivious: but still tells her to run. That's where he fights off Cato and he gets stabbed as well, so that's how he REALLY saved her.

Is the part about the earlobe true?

I hate how they made Peeta out to be a sissy. I understand it's about Katniss' womanhood and embracing the idea of a strong female but come on, he's kind of dependent on her.

Could've include the battle with Cato because now I don't understand how he could've gotten stabbed and still escaped.

Also, in the beginning, he chucks what looks like a 300-pound weight and, while in the arena, he goes around picking poisonous berries.

haha, i agree.

the book didn't show the fight either, but it did make it way more clear (cato tells his fellow alliance "I know where I stabbed him, he'll be dead soon anyway"

and i assumed peeta's strength would make a return at the end when grappling with cato, but it doesn't really

Me too!

I expected the scene at the dinner table where Katniss blurts out, "He can throw a 100-pound sack of flour (or something to that extent)," to foreshadow how he triumphantly throws Cato into the mob of strange mutant-dogs.

I had one question. Why was Woody Harrelson (H) totally unreceptive to helping the two kids initially, and then all of a sudden pulling strings for them to win?

I loved Rue though. That was a perfect casting ... She seemed like a geniunely sweet girl.

I agree. I have no idea how people were upset about that casting.

Wasn't aware that I had to read a book before seeing a movie. Part of the screenwriters' job was to keep me from doing so.

That'd be an interesting format: Release a movie but tell audience's that it's their job to fill in the blanks.

But why?

There's a rule to writing: Show don't tell. The screenwriters broke it a lot.
