Kanye and the rest of the GOOD Music family will be performing live at tonight’s 2012 BET awards (Sunday, July 1).
Kanye won four Grammys at last night’s award show. They were Best Rap Performance for “Otis”, Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “All of the Lights”, and Best Rap Album for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
The Song of the Year award, which Kanye was nominated for “All of the Lights” went to Adele for “Rolling in the Deep”.
As we reported in December, Kanye is up for 8 Grammy Awards at tonight’s show, including Song of the Year for “All of the Lights” and two nominations for Best Rap Album.
The show takes place tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live in the U.S. on CBS at 8pm EST.
Ultimately it’s inconceivable that Grammy thinks MBDTF is not one of the five best albums of the year when in actuality it’s one of the best albums of the past five years…
The nominees for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards have just been announced and Kanye West has received 8 nominations in total, including one for the prestigious Song Of The Year award for “All of the Lights”.
“The best living or dead, hands down, huh?”
Kanye West added justification to his self-proclaimed lyrics at this year’s BET Awards, being honored Best Male Hip-Hop Artist for the 3rd time in his career, something no other artist has accomplished thus far. With stiff competition from nominees B.O.B, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross, Kanye West came out well-deservingly victorious.
Nicki Minaj and singer Justin Bieber (who announced the category) accepted the award on West’s behalf—who had skipped out on this year’s award ceremony.
Kanye was also nominated for Video Of The Year for “Runaway”, and “Video Director Of The Year”, suffice it to say West is back and commanding as ever. His “fantasy” evidently came to life, a reality that has him “feeling good, real good, fantastic”. Lets have a toast!
